Welcome from the President
Hello,
Welcome to the newly designed website for the University
of Louisiana at Monroe's local chapter of the American
Meteorological Society (AMS). This
upgrade from the original, outdated, website will serve as a quick and easy
way to remain up to date on all of the latest AMS social events, intramural
events, the forecast contest, membership and outreach.
The AMS is currently undergoing many exciting changes including this
website, movement to a new office and renovation of the AMS's
meeting room, the ULM
Weather Research
Center. At the same time, we are working to retain
the close knit atmosphere among members that the AMS has always enjoyed.
This year you can once again look forward to tailgating before ULM home games, holiday
parties, intramurals, nights out, contests, guest speakers, the 3rd annual
Global Warming Forum and many other events.
If you are new to ULM's
campus and have an interest in weather, I invite you to come
check out what the ULM AMS is all about.

Research Center
located on the 3rd floor of Hanna Hall.
There are no requirements to join and dues are only $10.00 per
semester.
This is a very exciting time for the ULM chapter of the AMS and I hope you will
join us to make this year the best that this organization has ever seen.
